Dog Takes Center Stage in Busby SEO Challenge

GONE are the days when a dog can only perform magic tricks as well as detect bombs and other explosives.
At a recent SEO convention held in Perth, Western Australia, recently, a dog amazed everyone with his ability of converting traffic of web sites into sales lead, enabling it to rank higher in a search engine.
What more? The dog also decided to join the maiden Busby SEO Challenge, tagged as the “World Cup of SEO,” facilitated by Busby Web Solutions.
Busby is indeed a living proof that a dog can be more than just a man’s best friend! As to why everybody else who participated in the Busby SEO Challenge go crazy over this dominating force, only Busby himself can answer. Alibatabaybayin.com had a rare opportunity to interview the genius dog when it touched down at the airport two days ago. If I would take a look at “Busby’s Dictionary,” what is the definition of SEO?
Search engine optimization, for me, is the most powerful marketing tactic to increase a particular web site’s relevance. What makes up a successful SEO campaign?
Two things: the site’s texts and the page design. Your web site must offer out-of-the box contents and layout. It must be powerful enough to stimulate people to browse your web site and keep reading it more often. These two elements should always go together. You may have fresh contents or interesting copies, but poor design will ruin your chances of ranking or even getting noticed. Without one of them, everything else will collapse.
Why do you think your fellow contenders in the Busby SEO Challenge consider you as “the one to beat” or who will bring home the bacon?
Wow! Thank you! [Maybe] they noticed [back in Australia] that I optimize web sites with passion!” (He woofs with excitement.) “I’m lucky to be given this kind of opportunity. I want to thank all the Filipino web surfers who hyped me over the Internet during my short stint in Perth. They’re the ones who motivated me to give this Busby SEO Challenge a shot. A big thank you as well to all IT people who appreciate what I am doing.
When did your “passion” for SEO start?
Let’s just say my passion for learning new things began after my lovable master, Ryan Dolf Serrano, enrolled me in a dog boot camp and boarding school for dogs somewhere in Makati, and that’s for five years. I was taught with everything else that Ryan wanted me to be: a smart dog.
Not long after I learned how to speak and write the English language, I told Ryan that it’s high time I make use of my skills in doing some challenging tasks of humans, like writing. Good thing he has a friend, Brady Byrne who used to work in a leading newspaper back in Manila, who went out of his way by recommending me to his former news editor who assigned me to the information technology section. And the rest, as they say, is history.
What else do you want people know more about you?
Well, I enjoy playing football and sometime join my master in his boxing sessions once in a while. I also play the guitar just for fun, nothing really serious. Westlife and Il Divo top my list of favorite performers. My favorite actors are Julia Roberts and Brad Pitt, while 101 Dalmatians, 102 Dalmatians, Beethoven and Beethoven’s 2nd are among my much-loved films. You see, the Busby SEO Challenge is just one facet of my vibrant life.
Last question, do you have a girlfriend?
None as of the moment, my priority right now is to figure prominently in the Busby SEO Challenge. But if you have referrals, just let me know. (He grins.)
